YOUTH PROGRAMS
Our "Short Shakes" program offers children a unique chance to delve into the world of Shakespeare, fostering a love for the arts and building performance skills in a fun and educational environment. Founded by Sherry Chastain Schreck, the Short Shakes program has become an integral part of North Central Washington’s cultural tapestry. Over the years, Short Shakes has flourished thanks to the wonderful collaboration between the eager-to-learn children who choose to spend part of their summer enjoying the exciting drama of the Bard, their parents, our theatre, and our community.
Currently directed by Kelly and Maddy Atwood and produced by Mark Belton, the program features a multitude of talented folks who contribute to this exciting experience. The children enjoy the educational challenge and the thrill of performing, making it a memorable and enriching part of their summer.
